Stephanie Zito and Lore Kinast, Technical Assistance Specialists at the National Deaf Center on Postsecondary Outcomes (NDC), will present at AHEAD 2020: Equity and Excellence, a national online conference featuring experts on access in higher education.

Researchers from the National Deaf Center on Postsecondary Outcomes (NDC) were originally scheduled to make seven presentations — the most ever at a conference by NDC staff — at the American Educational Research Association (AERA) 2020 Annual Meeting on April 17-21, the world’s largest gathering of education researchers and a showcase for innovative studies.

NDC is on the road presenting at not one, but TWO different conferences this week. We are in Washington, D.C., Monday through Wednesday at the Association of University Centers on Disabilities (AUCD) conference, and starting Wednesday, we will be at the OCALICON conference in Columbus, Ohio.

National Deaf Center Director Stephanie Cawthon, Ph.D., gave a keynote presentation at the The Minnesota Commission of the Deaf, DeafBlind & Hard of Hearing (MNCDHH)’s Collaborative Experience Conference in Brainerd, Minnesota, on Nov. 8.

On October 15-16, the state of Illinois will gather its Rehabilitation Counselors for the Deaf (RCDs) together for the first time for statewide training that will include a session on what the National Deaf Center on Postsecondary Outcomes can do to help their day-to-day efforts to serve deaf youth and adults in the state.

Experts from the National Deaf Center on Postsecondary Outcomes will make two presentations and participate in the poster session at the Southeastern Regional Institute on Deafness (SERID) 2019 Annual Conference in Huntsville, Alabama, on October 10-13. Founded in 1971, SERID 2019 has expanded from a small regional conference to a national event known for its training expertise, innovative leadership, and professional development.

The National Deaf Center is presenting, exhibiting, and debuting a new resource for families at the 2019 Hands & Voices Leadership Conference on September 20-22, the only conference of its kind devoted exclusively to training family members with children who are deaf to be agents of change. 

National Deaf Center Director Stephanie Cawthon, Ph.D., will present at the U.S. Department of Education’s 2019 Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) Leadership Conference in Arlington, Virginia, on July 22-24. 

The National Deaf Center is proud to participate in AHEAD 2019, the annual international conference of the Association on Higher Education and Disability on July 9-13 in Boston, Massachusetts.
