As summer approaches, we at NDC recognize that change is in the air. Students are graduating, getting ready for summer, looking for jobs, and planning for the next phase in their lives. Reflecting on the year that has passed, it makes sense that the time ahead is filled with uncertainty.

Notwithstanding a global pandemic, transition in any context can be daunting.

  • Students have questions, mixed emotions, and sometimes are just overwhelmed.
  • Families also have questions and worries. While they may be excited for their child to start the next phase of their lives, there are still many unknowns.
  • And professionals are persevering through unprecedented times to support student success.

And… all of this is okay!

These worries cannot overshadow the hard work, commitment, and pride earned during this journey. We at NDC want to remind you that we are here for you — students, families, and professionals.

We recognize the importance of preparation and readiness for decision-making about opportunities ahead. NDC is here with tools, resources, and help as you maneuver through options.

But, before this time does pass, we hope that you make space to pause and honor the resilience of deaf youth during a global pandemic.
